Well, I never.

Some rapscallions on this page have been accusing I, Sir Queesly, of being nothing more than a sock-puppet manipulated by the grubby hands of  an American. These snide comments are pure fabrication, made up by the sort of low-minded scuffians who'd sooner spit in the streets like a common sailor than curtsey before our dear Queen. Furthermore, tea should never be served with crumpets. Anyone with a distinquishing palette would know this, of course, but sadly one must be aware that today's youth has no such skill. ^ that is so totally me :o
Its not british, its ENGLISH! IT IS BLOODY ENGLISH! british refers to scotland, wales, and ireland too!
It's none of the above, it's merely a lame stereotype. If you think English people act like that, then there's no hope for you.
(Oh, this is a British stereotype too. People believe all British people act like this. Not just England. Besides most American's I know use the terms interchangeably.)
I live in England, and even if it is just a stereotype I get bothered by the fact people get it wrong; I thought this was just an English stereotype. sorry if I offended you.
Hardly offended, sorry if that's how I came across. ^^;
I too live in England, and understand how irritating it is when people get British and English confused.

It's a British stereotype from what I can tell by American tv. (Which I watch way too much of. )
...Though that could be down to American's being unaware of the difference between England and British.
